DR. JEKYLL AND MR. X was composed
in 2004 specially for the first HOLOTOPIA Contemporary Experimental
Music Festival. It is structured on two main logical sets that
interlace each other, creating a complex system of sounds. The
rhythmical elements are founded in some principles commonly used
in Eastern compositions. For the concert, Pimenta also created
a complex computer graphic exhibition. The concert, in two versions,
was made for the classical movie Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, directed
by Rouben Mamoulian, in 1932. One of the versions is a sound
track for the film, the other is an independent concert, with
the computer images exhibition. The version on this cd is the
concert recorded in Naples, at the Punta Campanella, in 2004. ASA-CMC113 | 55'00" to find a collectible copy click here or send an email to luciana@asa-art.com
