Donald A. McColl
            é Professor Nancy L. Underwood na Cadeira de História
            da Artes do Departamento de Arte da Universidade de Washington,
            Chestertown, Maryland. Nasceu em Londres, Canadá, e graduou-se
            na Universidade Western Ontario, Oberlin College, Universidade
            de Virginia e Universidade Northwestern, e foi bolseiro no Centro
            de Estudos Avançados em Artes Visuais (CASVA), na National
            Gallery of Art, em Washington DC, e no Social Sciences and Humanities
            Research Council do Canadá (SSHRC) e, mais recentemente,
            na Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection, também
            em Washington - Trustees da Universidade de Harvard. É
            especialista em cultura visual do Norte da Europa no início
            do período moderno. Tem realizado regularmente em todo
            o Canadá, nos Estados Unidos e na Europa. Actualmente,
            trabalha em dois livros: Signs of the Times: The Cleveland
            Marbles e Seeing the Samaritan Woman in the Reformation
            World. Actualmente, está ainda envolvido num projecto
            para exposição: O Pobre de Rembrandt. Entre
