BRIEF BIOS
Stefano Odoardi, 17/03/1967, is an Italian filmmaker,
who lives between Italy and Holland. He made different short
films that have been selected in various international film festivals
and broadcasted on tv. In January 2002 he received in Amsterdam
his Postgraduate Studies Diploma from DasArts (The Amsterdam
School Advanced Research in Theatre and Dance Studies). In the
spring 2003 he shoot the short film "the earth in the sky"
(S8 negative) which received a special mention of the jury in
the festival Unimovie 2004. (Pescara,Italy). In January 2005
he shoot his new short film 'Exile of Beauty' (S16mm). The film
won the prize for the best artistic contribution in the Festival
Arcipelago in Rome in 2005 and was presented in competition at
Fike 2005 (Evora film festival, Portugal). In 2005 the Dutch
film fund financed the treatment writing in collaboration with
Kees Roorda of the feature film 'November'. In September 2005
he presented in the Triennale of Milan a 20 minutes film inspired
on J. Beuys 'Concrete Utopia of the Earth'. The film will be
presented in different museums. In June/October 2005 he shot
his first long film on 35mm 'A White Ballad' (scenario by Kees
Roorda and Stefano Odoardi, the scenario development has been
financed by the Dutch Film) produced by Alessio Rigido (Italy)
in co-production with Moskito Film, O Film, Image Grabbing and
De Productie for the Netherlands. The film was presented in October
2006 during the First Rome Film Fest 2006 in the Business Street
Selection (market screening for distributors and producers) and
it will have it's world premiere in January 2007 in the official
selection of the 36th Rotterdam Film Festival. The film has been
selected in the official selection of the Tiburon Film Festival
(San Francisco, Usa, 22 - 30 March 2007). Stefano Odoardi is
writing the scenario of his third feature film 'November' (the
scenario development has been financed by the Dutch Film) and
he is preparing to shoot his second film 'Mancanza'. A White
Ballad will be released in Holland by "Het Filmmuseum".
